Job Description
Blackshield Capital is growing rapidly and expanding its capabilities. We are looking for an Investment Associate to help augment our growing team in Private Equity. The role will engage across all functions of the firm and will have exposure to the entire deal process from origination and due-diligence through deal structuring and post-investment portfolio management. We hire Analysts with 3+ years of work experience. This role is a balance between financial analysis, business strategy, and sharp execution. The ideal candidate has superior analytical skills, takes initiative and has a tremendous work ethic.
Responsibilities:
▪️ Interface on a daily basis with Managing Directors providing business related analysis and guidance
▪️ Extensive financial modeling to support potential investment opportunities and business valuation
▪️ Development of presentations for client’s, teasers and investment memorandums
▪️ Market research and industry analysis
▪️ Provide ongoing monitoring of assets with the firm’s portfolios

Required Experience and Skills
Qualifications:
▪️ Strong academic credentials in finance, economics – Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree
▪️ Looking for mature, responsible, intelligent analyst to complement existing private equity team
▪️ Highly analytical
▪️ Knowledge of business growth strategy and the risk/return characteristics of private equity investment opportunities
▪️ Extensive financial modeling skills and experience in Excel/ PowerPoint/ Word
▪️ Strong interpersonal and communication skills
▪️ Clear, concise writing skills
▪️ Previous private equity, investment banking, accounting, or consulting experience preferred
▪️ Previous work experience of between 1 and 4 years
▪️ CFA is a plus
